What is Lakefest?

In its inaugural year, Lakefest is a special event which will be based in Belmont in March 2010.

Belmont will provide the perfect lakeside setting for a showcase of
Lake Macquarie’s finest local goods and services on the weekend of March 19 – 21, 2010.

The Town Coordinator, Jenny Barrie, together with an enthusiastic Belmont Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, schools and community organisations, are staging this first time event, which aims to evolve into an ongoing annual event in the future.

Against the backdrop of the picturesque Lake Macquarie, Lakefest will provide a delightful atmosphere in which to enjoy all that is great about Belmont and the City of Lake Macquarie.

The town of Belmont offers a great variety of specialty stores, lake front bars and restaurants, as well as a vast range of recreational activities which are sure to suit the needs and wants of all visitors to the area.

While Mum and Dad enjoy a relaxing bite overlooking the lake, the kids can amuse themselves on the carnival rides or take part in a range of supervised water activities, including kayaking, sailing, jet boat rides, etc. Lakefest will promote a fun family atmosphere, with a range of activities to cater for all ages.
